Contentstack has launched Canoe, a standalone tool for checking whether AI engines mention a brand, how they describe it and which competitors appear instead. Announced at ContentCon Europe in Amsterdam on 1 October, it works with any website, including those outside Contentstack.

Based on 3 primary sources · See sources

From a website to buyer questions

Canoe drafts products, buyer profiles and up to ten competitors from a website. Users review that context before it generates questions across the buying journey. Reports show brand mentions, descriptions, competitors and cited sources, followed by recommended changes.

Free checks on two engines; more frequent runs on Growth

The free plan checks ChatGPT and Gemini monthly, with no credit card or expiry. Growth adds Perplexity and Claude, daily or weekly runs and editable questions. Launch pricing is $279 a month or $2,790 a year; Enterprise is planned for early 2027.

Paid plans also expose reports through an MCP server so connected agents can draft fixes for review. An Amsterdam launch is confirmed; the announcement does not list separate country restrictions.

For marketers

A visibility score describes the questions a tool tested. It does not measure every buyer conversation or prove a sales lift. The useful comparison is whether the same relevant questions produce more accurate answers after a content change.
